Note(s) | Um Abdo from Syria talked about the customs and traditions of marriage and weddings in Syria, and how her daughter was engaged
and the way the proposed groom were engaged in Syria. The mother of the groom chooses the appropriate future bride for him,
and come to see her and see her silhouette and describe her for the proposed groom. If she is beautiful she asks the mother
of the future bride about the family origin ( father and grandfather). The relatives and neighbors come before the ceremony
of engagement to help dressing and determine the dowry and then they celebrate the wedding ceremony. The parent of the bride
present drink, smoking and ice cream . Onnce the ceremony is done both families go to the restaurant.
